“Intraoral Scanning - Your Digital Link to Esthetic Screw-Retained Solutions”

+ Course Information

• Intraoral Scanning - Your Digital Link to Esthetic Screw-Retained Solutions

  • The digital data captured with your intraoral scanner is the first step and very valuable link in the restorative and digital archiving process. Combining this data with innovative technologies like Angulated Screw Access & “screw-mentable” restorations allows our team the ability to control the screw access and through this restore almost every patient with a fully retrievable, yet highly esthetic solution. These “screw-mentable” prosthetics, are delivered with greater predictably and require less clinical chair-time than a traditional cement-retained CAD abutment. Eradicating the need for cement and clean-up ultimately leads to a greatly reduced risk of peri-implantitis. Incorporating this captured data allows the progressive dental laboratory the ability to process implant retained cases with a full digital workflow, allowing for archiving of the process and effortless case recovery if ever required. Mr. Rensburg will showcase studies explaining the advantages of restoring with today’s advanced technologies and materials.

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding the advantages of a fully digital workflow in multiple unit and more complex case application
  • Understanding the innovative technologies and latest material advancements to help the team restore more predictability
  • Understanding the economical value and clinical efficiencies these processes offer to the clinician and laboratory

“The Immediate Implant”

+ Course Information

• The Immediate Implant

  • Many variables influence the aesthetic outcomes of immediate implants in the anterior maxilla. Patient factors such as periodontal biotype and tissue display are critical in determining the potential for success when treating patients with an immediate implant. Additional considerations, including implant choice, surgical design and restorative design, are among other critical factors that are in the control of the treating dentist. This presentation will outline the risk factors which most significantly influence esthetic prognosis with immediate implants in the esthetic zone. While many techniques offer excellent results in most situations few can be said to guarantee success. A series of cases have been gathered to illustrate risk assessment and predictable management of immediate implants in the esthetic zone. The discussion will include immediate implant with and without provisional restoration and bone grafting and how these techniques may influence esthetic outcomes regarding soft tissue esthetics.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss factors that affect both the survival and aesthetic outcomes of immediate implants
  • Discuss techniques for managing extraction sites compromised bone
  • Discuss the influence of different provisional restoration design on facial gingival margin and aesthetics
